Mary Lum

Mary Lum, our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 88 years old. Mary was born on October 22, 1935, to Otis Johnson and Mary Maddox Johnson in Midway, TX. She was a faithful and loving mother. As an ordained minister, she enjoyed spreading the word of Jesus and ministering to those in nursing homes. Mary worked as a postal worker for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing but was also known as a Swiss Army knife, as she could do it all. The Lord granted her wish of calling her home on the day she was born to spend her birthday with her loved ones who had gone before her.
Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Ray Lum, and her son, Richard "Rick" Ronald Lum. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Theresa Cain, Gloria Cain and husband Raymond, and John Michael Lum and wife Carroll; sisters, Elizabeth Ferguson, Carrie Fay Woodard, and Ocie Loving; eleven grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous other loving family and treasured friends.
A visitation will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.. A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 10:00 at Cornerstone Church of Cleveland. 
Honoring Mary as pallbearers will be Keenan Lum, David Wilson, Bill W. Johnson Jr., Stephen Johnson, James Cain, James Siedel, and Daniel Hearn.
