Marvin Leslie Roberts

Marvin Leslie Roberts, of Cleveland, Texas, entered into the gates of Heaven on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at the age of 77. He was born on Friday, January 31, 1947, in Houston, Texas, to Clyde Roberts and Alice Roberts, both of whom have preceded him in death. Marvin was also preceded in death by his older sister, Norma Roberts; and his two beloved brothers-in-laws, Harmon Ray Tucker and Jerry Tucker. Marvin worked as a Harris County sheriff officer, but later decided to open up his own business, Guarantee Paint and Body. He then moved to Cleveland, TX, and opened Cleveland Auto Repair. In his retirement, Marvin went to work at Home Depot, which he enjoyed greatly. Marvin loved doing puzzles with his granddaughters and great-grandbabies; tending to his many cats, beloved dogs, and cows. He also enjoyed watching Fox News at MAX volume and was a lover of watching the same movies on repeat. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 59 years, Wanda Roberts; daughter, Misty Manzella and husband Kino Manzella; two grandchildren, Kristy Manzella-Kinard and husband Weston Kinard, and Paige Manzella; two great-grandchildren, Cannon Kinard and Waverly Kinard; sister, Sharon McNabb; brother, Michael Roberts; along with numerous treasured friends, coworkers, and other loved ones. Visitation for Marvin will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Interment for Marvin will immediately follow at Morgan Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Steven Newcomer, Jacob Williams, Jeremy Williams, Mike Roberts, Raylie Pagan, and Greg Buford. Honorary pallbearers are Kino Manzella, Cannon Kinard, and Weston Kinard.
