Margaret "Elaine" Zimmer

Margaret Elaine Zimmer, 80, of Shepherd, Texas passed away on Friday, October 2, 2015. She was born on Thursday, May 30, 1935 in Houston, Texas to Vernon Joseph Spence and Celestine Grace Davidson-Spence, both of whom have preceded her in death. Elaine was also preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Zimmer, Sr.; children, Fred and Bryan Zimmer; brothers, Carl "Bubba" Spence and Ray Spence, sister, LaVerne and her husband Leonard Simmons. Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Beadie Locke and husband David, of Horseheads, NY, Verna McDermott, of Shepherd, TX, William" Bill" Zimmer Jr., of Houston, TX; brother, David Spence and wife Jean, of Lewisville, TX; sister, Patsy Bishop, of Houston, TX; six grandchildren, DJ Locke and wife Carrie, of Horseheads, NY, Tristan Locke and wife Carolyn, of Congers, NY, Brieanne Shaw and husband Alfa, of Campbell, NY, Shannon Purdy and husband Wade, of Richmond, TX, Shawna Skinner and husband Jonathan of Shepherd, TX, John A. McDermott, of Shepherd, TX; 25 great- grandchildren and numerous other loving family and treasured friends. Visitation for Elaine will be held at Neal Funeral Home on Monday, October 05, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, October 06, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Neal Funeral Home Chapel.
