Dixie Lee Laird, 76, of Huffman, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014. She was born on Sunday, March 27, 1938 in Memphis, Tennessee to Joe William and Grace Ethel (Thomason) Lowery, both of whom have preceded her in death. Dixie was also preceded in death by her 2 sisters and 1 brother; Left to cherish her memory is her loving children James Michael Bailey and wife Sally and Dianna and Tommy Bailey. Dixie had numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, along with numerous other loving family and friends. A private memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
