Cynthia Benjamin Obituary

Cynthia Ann Benjamin was born June 3, 1956 to Louis and Minnie Kaiser Smith and passed away January 18, 2020 in Coldspring, Texas at the age of 63. She was a devout wife, and loving mother to her children. She retired from the Sheldon ISD, and was very involved with the senior citizen center in Coldspring. Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ivory Blunt; brother, John Henry Cyr; sisters, Mary Lou Smith and Joan Roderick. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Mindy Benjamin-Resby and husband Derrick of Houston, Texas and Ashley Brimsey and husband Wayne of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Dominic Thompson, Nation Resby, Ivory Resby, Aubrielle Resby, Joshua Brimsey and Nevaeh Brimsey; brothers, Michael Cyr, Clarence Cyr and Ronald Cyr; sisters, Eleanor McDonald and Laverne Graham. Visitation will be at Neal Funeral Home on Monday, January 27, 2020 from 6-9pm. Funeral Service will be in the Neal Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 11am with Pastor Derrick Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Houston National Cemetery at 2pm.
